Condition Standards

All items that are accepted for consignment are cleaned and carefully inspected.  They are evaluated and categorized according to the quality and condition as Excellent, Very Good, or Good.

EXCELLENT — Furs in Excellent condition show no visible signs of wear, with lining and closures in pristine condition.

VERY GOOD — Furs in Very Good condition may show some light wear to the fur or lining and are gently used.

GOOD — Furs in Good condition may show more obvious signs of wear, including slightly worn fur or minor stains and snags on the lining.

Return Policy

We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase but understand that sometimes an item needs to be returned or exchanged.  We accept returns of unworn items with all original tickets attached.  Merchandise must be unused, unworn, and unaltered.  A return authorization number is necessary and must be given within five business days of the date you received the item.  The Return Authorization Number must be requested via email to mcelroyvintage@gmail.com.  We must receive the items to our location within five days of your return authorization.  We only accept returns when the items arrive back to us in the same condition as when they were sent out with our attached tag.  We reserve the right to refuse a return request.  The buyer is responsible for the cost of return shipping.


Once your item has been received at our location, we will send you an email confirmation or receipt.  Please allow two business days for re-authentication and processing.  Once this is completed, we will refund you for your purchase.  Credit cards will be refunded within three to five business days.  Remember, once we have issued your credit card refund, it may take up to seven business days for your bank to complete, depending on their processing time.  This can vary greatly between credit card issuers.  You may also choose store credit, which will be given immediately.

Shipping Policy

Once your order has been received, you will receive and email confirmation from mcelroyvintage@gmail.com.  Your item will be shipped within three business days and you will receive an email that includes the tracking number.

We will ship anywhere in the continental United States via UPS ground shipping for a flat rate of $75.  All items will require customer signature for receipt.  Please contact us for any special shipping requests and rates for expedited shipping.


We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and PayPal.

Sales Tax

We are required to charge sales tax for all sales within the state of Illinois, where our company is located.
